Cooking! 1-450, the Quick, Easy, and Cheap Way!

With the increased demand for cooking items (Feasts, mainly), I thought it would be a great idea to show you guys just exactly how to level Cooking up quick and easy. Following this path you can level 1-450 Cooking in roughly 6 hours for a total cost of less than 200 gold (in fact, you might make gold by the end of it).

So, without further ado: COOKING 1-450!

Craft 40x [Spice Bread]

Craft 40x [Spiced Wolf Meat]

Best farm spot: Eastern Elwynn Forest or Northern Mulgore.

You have become better at Cooking (75)! Train up and grab Journeyman Cooking.

[75-135]

Craft 80x [Crab Cakes]

Best farm spot: (40, 11) in Westfall, the crabs spawn instantly upon another’s death. (and, for you Horde, they have a chance of dropping Cooked Crab Claw recipe)

You have become better at Cooking (135)! Train up and grab Expert Cooking.

[135-150]

Craft 15x [Clam Chowder]

You have become better at Cooking (300)! Train up and grab Master Cooking in Outlands (Hellfire Peninsula).

You have become better at Cooking (350)! Train up and grab Cooking Grand Master in Northrend (Dalaran).

From this point on, what I did (to reduce cost and headache) was just search the Auction House for cheap fish. Because so many people are fishing for either Feast materials or dailies or whatever, there are often stacks of the below fish for just a couple gold since no one really uses the food they make. Just scan the AH every so often and pick up a few stacks on the cheap.

[380-410] (any combination of the following)

Craft 35x [Poached Nettlefish]

From here on will require Northern Spices as well. They run about 1.75g/ea on the Auction House or you can just get them from your daily Cooking quest. Either way, it won’t be too expensive to finish out Cooking.
